"His skill-set addresses two areas where we need to improve: rebounding and passing, plus, we know he will score. He is a proven talent in this league and we like the way that his talents fit with the other core players on our roster." Azubuike had his 2009-10 season cut short after suffering a torn patella tendon in his left knee nine games in. The 26-year-old was coming off a season in which he averaged 14.4 points and five boards. Randolph, a 6-foot-11, 225-pounds forward, averaged 11.6 points and 6.5 rebounds in his second season with the Warriors after being selected 14th overall in the 2008 draft. Turiaf, who has played in a reserve role through most of his five-year career, averaged 4.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in 42 games for the Warriors last season.

A shocker: Within days the Pats announced they'd be sponsoring the Massachusetts state lottery, the Skins said they'd slap their sticker on Virginia scratch-offs and the Ravens admitted they were talking to Maryland lottery bosses. In all likelihood, it won't be long before every team is a presenting sponsor of scratch-offs or just plain old pick fives. "The change in policy was approved 32-0," said NFL spokesman Greg Aiello. "So you can expect to see more deals soon." It's a branding opportunity too big for the owners to ignore, and one a couple of dozen baseball franchises have enjoyed for years. The fact the NFL has been slower to act than those slack-brained Seligites is indicative of its complicated relationship with all forms of gambling. Consider this: Last Thursday, as the Pats and the Redskins finalized their new lottery deals, a lawyer representing the NFL argued before Delaware's Supreme Court that the state's newly signed sports betting law should be repealed.
